We are happy to introduce to you, Author Teresa Keefer. We’ll be chatting about her writing process and introduce you to SAMHAIN, the first of eight books in her new WHEEL OF THE WITCH Series. We know you are going to love it as much as we do.

Teresa Keefer was chosen by her adoptive parents in Warsaw, Indiana and has remained in Indiana all her life. She currently resides in rural Indiana with a menagerie of dogs, cats, goats, and chickens. She has three beautiful adult daughters and seven fantastic grandchildren who all live a hop, skip and a jump away from her.

Holding an MBA from Indiana Institute of Technology, she has spent the last 30 years in the human resources profession. In her spare time—what little there is—she can be found doing a variety of crafts, cooking, studying the paranormal, making organic remedies, and barefoot gardening. Her bucket list is quite extensive, and she is determined to mark off every item—as she adds two more for each one accomplished.

PPP: When did you know you wanted to be a writer?

Teresa: I started very young with a wild imagination that would come up with stories even before I started writing them down. Always a bookworm, what better way to use my own imagination than to write books?

PPP: What was the first book that you wrote?

Teresa: Book 1 of the Possum Creek Series – Coming Home

PPP: How many books have you written?

Teresa: At last count 23.

PPP: On a typical day, how much time do you spend writing?

Teresa: I try to write something every day even if it’s just a blog entry. There are no typical days!

PPP: What comes first for you, the plot or the characters?

Teresa: The idea comes in first and then I make the characters fit the plot.

PPP: What was your most difficult book to write? Your easiest?

Teresa: The most difficult has been one I’ve been writing under the pen name Ann Nevada called The 2nd…it’s not my typical romance or paranormal thriller, but a political thriller that is requiring a lot of research. The easiest one is my current WIP which is the first book of the Wheel of the Witch series.

PPP: Do you have a favorite book or character that you have written?

Teresa: I love Rowena from Rowena’s song and Ruby from Ruby’s Revenge comes in a close second.

PPP: What would you say is your most interesting writing quirk?

Teresa: I like to take the theme of a song and turn it into a book. Coming Home was inspired by Strawberry Wine and Saved by Luke was inspired by Suds in the Bucket.

PPP: Tell us about your current WIP or your most recent book?

Teresa: I am currently working on Samhain which is the first book in my Wheel of the Witch series.

PPP: Where did you find your inspiration for writing it?

Teresa: That’s a hard question! I am not really sure where the inspiration came from. I just sat down one evening and started writing it. Maybe it came from another dimension!

PPP: Tell us about your experience working with the team at Poised Pen Productions.

Teresa: My experience with PPP has been nothing but excellent! The whole team has gone over and above my expectations and Tess has been my muse as of late!

PPP: Is there anything else you would like our readers to know?

Teresa: As a clairvoyant and spiritualist, I tinker in a lot of things that others may not. Right now, I’m checking out magick spells to experiment with if only to make my new series even more rich with magick. Please don’t ever check my search history on my computer!

Magick abounds in the woodlands and hills of Ireland. Guarded by the faeries who decide upon whom they will bestow the powers of the earth, wind, fire and water, that magick was given to the Coven of Sisters who promised to keep it safe. However, circumstances forced the sisters to scatter to the ends of the earth with a vow that one day, eight of their descendants would return to join their magick once again. Eight descendants, each born on one of the Sabbats, would have to make decisions that would affect their lives forever more. Magick, romance and history abound in the Wheel of the Witch series, eight magickal women with their own unique lives and powers will make their way to The Return in their own special way.
